Albums "And Her Name Is ..." and "From the Workshop" sold well and made a group at the forefront of the Dutch-bit scene. In 1969 he was released the single, which became one of the best tracks in the Netherlands - "Capital Punishment".
Soon, the band completely change your strategy, preparing for a breakthrough on the international scene. They got in touch with the British company "Page One Record", founded by Larry Page and produces bands like The Troggs and Lace. Before the band began recording in a studio (but after the signing of the contract), the company suddenly was sold to new owners who are more interested in money than the music. At the same time, "Sandy Coast" has started to work on the album, which was later called a landmark - "Shipwreck". This plate is on a par with the great works of rock music - "Tommy" and "SF Sorrow" and reflects almost all the creativity of musicians. This is a story - a fairy tale of the tragic voyage, which allegedly occurred in 1739 - the story of a simple sailor's face. The album incorporates innovation group, unconventional approach to music (released in 1969). In 1971 Sandy Coast signed a contract with "Polydor Records". For an ensemble of a new era in which they entered with new hits - "True Love That's A Wonder", "Just A Friend" and "Summertrain". Group improve their skills, and 4 years later released the album "Stonewall", which is in the artistic and commercial terms without success. In 1974, they decided to end their collaboration. Hans and Jan have created a successful project called Rainbow Train. The remaining members of the team started the band Water. June 13, 1980 in the Netherlands organized the festival, with performances by the famous team - Q65, Shocking Blue and Hu & The Hilltops, is extremely popular in the 60s. This festival inspired and former members of Sandy Coast to try their luck again. There was quite a successful return, the result of which was yet another successful single - "The Eyes of Jenny". ... But times are changing - and in 1982 it was over.
