"Between Title meant and means both things that are actually mutually exclusive. In the recording of the first album Einstieg (released in October 1971 on the label Wergo), besides the main four musicians also participated in two of the world of classical music: Irish flutist James Galway and violist Ulrich Stranz. After recording, they left the group and went back to the classics.
The album included several short tracks recorded in Munich (Staatliche Musik-hochschule), as well as a 9-minute avant-garde work of "Space Ship" (a CD reissue it even longer), recorded in Berlin. The style of the compositions varies between jazz, avant-garde, folk and ethnic.

The second album And The Waters Opened was released in 1973 on the label Vertigo. 6 tracks of this album were created using many acoustic instruments and are more monolithic fusion of genres than on the first album.
