The Patron Saints - Fohhoh Bohob 1969

"Welcoming the mouth" or "welcoming mouth" - as translated weird "Fohhoh Bohob" with some African dialect. Three American teenagers who loved the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and "Moby Grape", decided to do something different - a familiar story in the late sixties - early seventies. Rare craftsmen reaches the top, without having musical education or celebrity. These can not be called a "super trio" like Emerson, Lake and Palmer. They did not have the deliberate and virtuosity past ... But their music is original. In addition, talented. And by the way, the album - one of the biggest audiophile curiosities of all time ... From the memoirs of Erik Bergman: "By the beginning of the 69th group consisted of three members: John Tuttle, Paul Dalton and me. John and I had just started at that time to write songs. Soon we recorded a few songs, using guitar and piano, just to see what it looks like. When we realized that we have left enough tracks, you have recorded some of them with Paul on drums. I had a tape recorder "Sony 10255" with a double cassette deck, and John was a portable "Sony". We got pretty good results in the reduction of the record ... I thought, "Why do not we write our own album and release it on their own?" It was like old movies Andy Hardy "Let's put on a show in the barn!" We shared responsibilities for the three I engaged in producing and writing, John had to create a cover, and Paul engaged in the distribution. Song after song, we used our repertoire. John and I have done a lot of records in the past to understand the basics of the process, but not too deep, so often violated the rules without knowing it. I sincerely believe that our "innocent ignorance" and gave the album its charm. We often stopped recording when the plane was flying, barking dog or the phone rang. If you carefully listen to "White Light", you'll hear birds chirping - wall "studio" were not soundproof ... Finally we have printed LP of 100 copies. Part of copies went to the families and friends a few - the record companies and radio DJs, and the rest are likely to fall into the hands of fans and collectors ... Who would have thought that after a few years they will be sold at an absurdly high price ?! "
