Although Harmonia began as a side project group members Neu! (Michael Rother) and Cluster (Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius), the band released several releases on the legendary Krautrock scene in the mid-'70s.
After two studio albums, Cluster participants moved to the countryside in Germany in order to make it his own studio. After several unsuccessful attempts to attach Neu! to nature, Rother returned to "klasterskuyu" studio for a series of relaxing improvisational jam sessions that crossed exploring space music with sharp rhythms and atmospheric guitar Rother'a.
Debut LP Harmonia «Musik Von Harmonia» was released in 1974, Live, recorded in Amsterdam. Though Rother parallel engaged Neu !, create another classic Krautrock, in HARMONIA he continued to participate. In 1975, her new LP - «De Luxe». Brian Eno announced Harmonia rock band of world importance, and eventually participated in the sessions - in 1976, the legendary results are not published for 20 years, until Rykodisc did not agree to publish «Tracks & Traces». Yet Cluster and Brian Eno continued their cooperation until the end of the 70s, and Rother started to work independently in 1978 with «Sternthale».
