The first solo album of Mark Ashton, members of the band «Rare Bird» and «Headstone». Realizing that the music of the above groups have not found their fans on the other side of the ocean, he decided himself to "conquer" the mercy of future fans. In the mid-70s, he went to Los Angeles, where he signed a contract with «20th Century Fox», which quickly agreed to finance the album. There Ashton scored a team of session musicians in collaboration with producer Christopher Bond in 1976 recorded a self-titled album, released edition of just 500 copies. Working with producer Alan Callan allowed Ashton to record another solo album in 1979 - «Solo». Press well received both albums, noting the talent of Ashton and his nice dry voice. Also wrote that Ashton gifted composer, able to produce the material in a variety of musical genres. However, the main problem of all his solo albums, according to critics, was weak session musicians.
