The history of Epitaph starts in winter 1969/70 in its time hottest Dortmunder Music Club Fantasio, in whose basement
Britain's Cliff Jackson (vocals, guitar), his compatriot James McGillivray (drums) and bassist Bernd Kolbe practiced and worked on their program, while they occurred in Fantasio between variables such as Black Sabbath, Rory Gallagah, Yes and Argent week.
For over four decades Epitaph are after various line-up changes and resurrections a fixture in the German rock business.
