«The Raindrops» - vocal group from New York, which existed from 1963 to 1965. Creators and vocalist was the matrimonial duo - Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry, the former as songwriters and producers. In early 1963 Greenwich and Barry recorded a demo «What A Guy», which began with the history of the group. The band was named after the 1961 hit «Raindrops» singer Dee Clark. In addition to Jeff and Ellie came into the exact same younger sister Ellie - Laura Greenwich, who did not sing on the records. To maintain the illusion of the trio, Laura sometimes appear on the live shows with the duo, but singing in the microphone mute. In concert, the duo occasionally sang Beverly Warren and Bobby Bosko. By the end of 1963 «The Raindrops» released their only album. They are more or less successful hit was the theme «The Kind Of Boy You Can not Forget», took the 17th place in the Billboard Hot 100. In early 1965, the band ceased to exist.
