Group «Python Lee Jackson» was formed in December 1965 in Sydney. After numerous changes in the composition and the release of several singles disbanded in January 1968. In early 1969, a few months they appear in «Arts Lab» on Drury Lane, where they were seen by the famous DJ John Peel. In April, Bentley, Liber and Montgomery with bassist Jamie Byrne from «The Groove» recorded three tracks in the studio with Rod Stewart. Stewart was invited to sing a few things when Bentley said bandmates, his voice is not too good for these songs. Recorded John Peel things sung by Rod Stewart, laid on the shelf until 1970, when Miki Dallon pereprodyusiroval them to his label «Youngblood» and released single. Oddly enough, but the first release failed, but the thrust Dallon again reissued it in early 1972. It was a success: the single reached No. 3 the UK Singles Chart and # 56 in the US Billboard Hot 100. After recording artist Stuart continued to give occasional concerts.
