Despite the fact that most members of this group the Germans, a group of "Analogy" can be considered Italian. The fact that at the time of the project, all the musicians that are included in its composition, were living in Milan. The team was formed in the late 60s and was originally called "No. Six". Then, the sign was changed to "The Joice", and in 1970, when there was a single "Sold out / God's own land" due to the plate cover typos team became known as "The Yoice". At that time, the team included Jutta Nienhaus (vocals), Hermann-Jurgen "Pug" Nienhaus (drums), Nicolas Pankoff (keyboards), Martin Thurn (guitar), Wolfgang Schoen (guitar) and Mauro Rattadzhi (bass).
Last later he parted with their colleagues, and its functions passed to Schoene. When the band reached the next stage in its development, the name finally changed to "Analogy". It happened in 1972 when the band released their self-titled debut album.
For the record edition took a tiny local label "Produzioni Ventotto". First of all, the disk attracts attention with its cover, on which the participants "Analogy" have been photographed in the nude. But musically work was quite interesting and in no way inferior to contemporaries such as "Circus 2000", "Julian's treatment", "Sandrose" or "Earth & Fire". Unique voice Jutta, as well as an impressive tandem pankoffskogo Hammond'a and guitar Schoene plus "space" embedding a la "Pink Floyd" created an amazing, slightly gloomy atmosphere.
The most interesting aspect (if you can call the 10-minute song) album was the track "Analogy", begins with a "fine" atmosphere full body and ends spaced in the spirit of "Who". Other valuable things have been asking for a comparison with the early "Jefferson airplane" "The year's at the spring", the grim "Dark reflections" and almost completely instrumental "Weeping may endure".
In general, the album turned out to be extremely successful, but still large record companies have not shown any interest to him, and this was the main reason for the collapse of the group. In 1973, the team lost the vocalist, but in its composition appeared flutist Rocco Abate. Shortly after the changes Martin Thurn wrote the 30-minute opus, entitled simply as "The suite". In this paper, he folded his guitar music of the Renaissance to progressive rock. "Analogy" performed "The suite" a few times live and have earned positive feedback. However, due to the aforementioned lack of material support for some time the team ceased to exist.
In 1980, Martin via Jutta and other musicians from the "Earthbound" completed the design of "The suite" as an album, but the record was published only 13 years later. Later, in 1996, Thurn, Nienhaus and Rattadzhi released an album titled "25 years later", which were the earliest things "Analogy", including the period of "The Yoice".
