It is believed that the acoustic team coined the term «world music». In the 60's and 70's no one cooler is not mixed ethnics than Third Ear Band on the album in 1969 Alchemy. The acoustic chamber ensemble, taking advantage of the tabla, oboe, viola and cello, performed by Indian, medieval, Indian, Gypsy, Middle Eastern, minimalist, jazz, folk and classical music, all in one song. Four pieces on the second album in 1970 Third Ear Band developed the idea even further: to recognize the ethnic sources is no longer possible, the music becomes a stream of consciousness, a spiritual experience, a waking dream. Music "third ear" closer to the Buddhist meditation than to the compositions in Western music.
