Mersibit British band formed in Liverpool, England,
in 1960 (according to some sources, in 1958, the official website says
that in 1961) (first as a Blue Jeans) [1], and go down in history,
mainly due to hit "Hippy Hippy Shake », followed by (who had moderate
success) cingly« Good Golly Miss Molly »,« You're No Good
»and« Do not
Make Me Over »(which marked the last appearance of the Quartet on the
charts in 1966). Despite the limited commercial success, The Swinging Blue Jeans, according to Allmusic, considered one of the strongest teams Liverpool "British Invasion" mid-1960s.
In 1968, The Swinging
Blue Jeans lost a contract with EMI, renamed in Music Motor, then
regained its old name, and continued to perform (a frequently changing
composition) until very recently.
In early 2010, the team founder Ray
Ennis announced that he would leave the stage at the end of the current
tour, which ended on May 30.
