Morly Grey - The Only Truth 1972

Format: MP3 CBR 320
Archive Size: 178.5 MB

Really good trippy rural hard rock, ala Samuel Prody, Fat or perhaps Swampgas. Inventive arrangements, cranked guitars and spooky organ swirls are all here. Really groovy stuff with more than a slight downer feel to it.
The only album (power-trio) of the Alliance town (State of Ohio). During recording, the drummer has changed - so the two of them here. Very curious ...
The only power-trio album from Alliance (Ohio). The band formed in the late '60s and performed the opening act for Bob Seger, "The Platters", "Brownsville Station", "Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels", "Cactus", "Wolfman Jack", "Bloodrock" and others LP overlooked the "Starshine Records" in 1972. Drummer Paul Cassidy, guitarist Tim Roller and his brother, bassist Mark, hold the listener through time and space with their moaning guitar solos, melodic bass and furious drums. The title track (a 17-minute rock opus) - the quintessential rock music. It is in the spirit of the time, a real classic of the 60s.
