Blue Swede - Hooked On A Feeling- 1974

Blue Swede was first formed in 1973, when Bjorn Skifs, top singer from Sweden, was looking for a group that would accompany him during his concerts. The group was originally called "Blåblus" (according to Swedish - "blue shirt", a pun on the word "blues"). The group received its international recognition in 1974 with a cover of 1969 BJ Thomas song "Hooked On A Feeling". Released in the same year their album "Hooked On A Feeling" Blue Swede version, it was borrowed from the repertoire of British pop eccentric Jonathan King, using his ooga-Chaka ooga-Chaka background on versions of previously recorded in the same song. "Hooked On A Feeling" was released in Sweden in May 1973 and in the United States in February 1974, and reached # 1 for one week in the United States stay in the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 18 weeks. RIAA was granted gold disc status on March 28, 1974. The track also topped the charts in Canada, Australia and the Netherlands.
A group of American Top 10 hit with a cover of the Association "S" Never My Love ". Also of note, the group recorded a medley that combined the" Hush "by Deep Purple and" I'm Alive "by Tommy James and Shondells (not Hollies (Song with the same name), and who have achieved the greatest success in Scandinavia.
"Hooked On A Feeling" received much attention in the 1990s when it was featured in Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs."
