Their second album. In the USA, this group along with The Yardbirds and Them had a huge impact on garage groups such as MC5 and The Seeds. In the early work of The Pretty Things, hard blues rock dominated, consonant with the things of Bo Diddy (they borrowed their name from his song of the same name in 1955) and Jimmy Reed. The group, famous for its unbridled behavior on and off the stage (following a New Zealand tour in August 1965, the local parliament decided to ban the band’s entry into the country for life) and “sharp” texts, also created 'Midnight to Six Man' ( November 1965) - programmatic statement by mods. Starting from this album, Phil May and Dick Taylor bring their own compositions to the group's repertoire. During the recording process, the scandalous drummer Viv Prince left the band and producer Bobby Graham performed his parts ... Viva Prince belongs to the glory of the first British rock celebrity arrested for drug possession, and he was also an example of scenic and off-stage behavior taken by his fan and follower, member of The Who, Keith Moon.
